The average cost of materials to build a house?

My boyfriend and I plan to marry next year, when they move in together. I looked the housing prices for existing homes, and found some vacant land prices at the same time. They seem quite reasonably priced, and thought about building our own house instead of buying one already built. However, I have no idea how much it would cost. But my family owns a lumber company, so the cost of all wood (wood) is irrelevant. I wonder how much it costs for things like concrete foundation, insulation, roofing, siding, etc. I do not know What difference does it, but intend to have a bungalow. We do not want a house with two floors. I do not need to know the costs of the contents of the house. I'm looking for the cost of materials. Probably be able to build ourselves, for the most part, our families are very useful.
