College in Illinois? ISM majors!?
I know this isn’t the best way to go about it but I need help!
I want to transfer and I need to narrow my selection (I want to major in Info. Systems Management). Here are my choices, any good or bad reviews? Opinions? Suggestions? I do plan on going to the schools and calling for info, I just want to narrow my choices!
Gov. State Univ (issue: 45 min. drive)
St. Xavier Univ (issue: $ – but close to work)
UIC (issue: looks way too big for comfort – semi close to home)
Loyola (issue: $)
Devy (issue: seems to “commercial”)
National-Louis Univ (same as above)
DePaul (issue: a tad too far / $)
UIC is not that large espically if your going to transfer you will be in smaller classes that are for your major. For the schools that have money issues you should try to find out about financial aid there may be scholarships for transfer students and also based on merit if you have good grades. I dont think i would go to devry or national louis if you have these other schools as choices. looks better on a resume. My mom went to governors stat for grad school and liked it. I also have a couple friends that have gone there for education and seem to like it also. I have never heard good things about St. Xavier and all the people i know that went to Loyola are stuck up snobs that think there is nothing better than their private school. Thats all i know.
